Please read these Terms carefully before using ActivGate. By accessing or using the platform you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ActivGate (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your access to and use of the ActivGate website, mobile application, and related services (collectively the “Platform”). By creating an account, making a booking, posting content, or otherwise using the Platform you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility & Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Platform. By registering you represent that all information you provide is accurate and current.
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must notify us immediately at info@activgate.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice where necessary to protect the Platform or other users.
- You may enable two-factor authentication (2FA) in your Security settings, which we strongly recommend.
3. Platform Services
ActivGate provides the following services:
- Travel & Booking: Search, compare, and book stays, activities, tours, car rentals, transfers, and flights from third-party providers.
- Social Features: Share reels (short-form video), stories (24-hour ephemeral content), photos, and posts; follow other users; react and comment; join communities and groups; send direct messages.
- Globe: An interactive 3D globe for destination discovery, trip planning, reachability mapping, and route visualisation. Advanced Globe features require a paid subscription.
- Music Ecosystem: Browse and use royalty-free tracks via the Jamendo integration; extract original sounds from reels; participate in sound challenges.
- AI Chatbot: An AI-powered travel assistant to help plan itineraries, answer questions, and surface relevant content.
- Provider Dashboard: A suite of tools for service providers to list, manage, and fulfil bookings.
We operate in 29 languages and support pricing in multiple currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, JOD, SAR, AED, KWD). We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create and post on the Platform (reels, stories, photos, comments, community posts, direct messages). By posting content you grant ActivGate a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.
Content Standards
You must not post content that:
- Is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, or hateful
- Infringes any third-party copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property right
- Contains unauthorised music, audio, or video not covered by the Jamendo licence or an original sound you extracted from your own reel
- Violates the privacy of any individual (e.g. publishing personally identifiable information without consent)
- Constitutes spam, misleading information, or fraudulent reviews
- Contains malware, scripts, or other malicious code
- Promotes illegal activities or products
Stories are automatically deleted after 24 hours. All other user content persists until deleted by you or removed by our moderation team for policy violations.
Duets & Stitches
When another user allows duets or stitches on their reel, you may incorporate a portion of that reel into your own content. Your new content must still comply with these content standards. The original creator may request removal of duets or stitches at any time.
5. Music & Audio
ActivGate integrates with Jamendo to provide a library of 659+ royalty-free tracks licensed under Creative Commons. Use of these tracks is subject to the applicable Jamendo licence terms.
- You may add Jamendo tracks to reels, stories, and sound challenges for non-commercial creative use on the Platform.
- Original sounds extracted from your reels may be made available for other users to use via the 'Use This Sound' feature. You grant ActivGate and other users a licence to use original sounds under the same non-exclusive terms as user content above.
- You must not upload audio that you do not own or have a licence to use. ActivGate employs audio fingerprinting to detect potential copyright-infringing content.
- Content flagged as potentially infringing is queued for moderation. We will notify you and provide an opportunity to dispute the flag before any permanent action is taken.
DMCA Takedown Procedure
If you believe that content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to info@activgate.com including:
- Identification of the copyrighted work and the allegedly infringing material (with URL)
- Your contact information and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf
- A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate
We will act expeditiously upon receipt of a complete notice. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.
6. Booking Terms
When you make a booking through ActivGate, you enter into a direct agreement with the service provider. ActivGate facilitates the transaction but is not the provider of the underlying service.
Cancellations & Refunds
- Self-service cancellation is available in My Bookings for eligible bookings up to 48 hours before the scheduled service start time.
- For cancellations within 48 hours of the service, refund eligibility is subject to provider approval. Providers are expected to respond within 48 hours. If no response is received within 48 hours, the refund is automatically approved.
- Refund amounts depend on the provider's cancellation policy displayed at the time of booking.
- Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Processing times vary by payment gateway and bank (typically 3–10 business days).
No-Shows
Failure to attend a booked service without prior cancellation constitutes a no-show. No-shows are generally non-refundable unless the provider's policy states otherwise.
Booking Accuracy
It is your responsibility to review all booking details (dates, times, number of participants, special requirements) before confirming payment. Amendment fees may apply for changes made after confirmation.
7. Payment Terms
ActivGate uses multiple payment gateways to process transactions. The gateway available to you depends on your region and chosen payment method.

Saved Payment Methods
You may save payment methods to your account for faster checkout. We store only a payment token provided by the respective gateway — raw card numbers are never stored on ActivGate servers. You can remove saved payment methods at any time from your account settings.
Recurring Billing
Globe Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until cancelled. By subscribing you authorise ActivGate to charge your saved payment method on each renewal date.
Currencies & Taxes
Prices are displayed in the currency of your choice (USD, EUR, GBP, JOD, SAR, AED, KWD). Currency conversion rates are provided for informational purposes; the actual charge depends on your bank's exchange rate. You are responsible for any applicable taxes or duties in your jurisdiction.
9. Community Guidelines & Moderation
To keep ActivGate safe and welcoming for all users, the following behaviours are prohibited:
- Harassment, bullying, or threats directed at any person
- Hate speech, discrimination, or content that promotes violence based on protected characteristics
- Impersonation of other users, public figures, or ActivGate staff
- Spam, unsolicited promotions, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour
- Sharing false or misleading information that could harm others
- Soliciting minors or sharing content that sexually exploits or endangers children
- Attempting to scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Platform
Reporting & Moderation
Use the built-in Report function on any post, reel, story, comment, or profile to flag policy violations. Our moderation team reviews reports and may remove content, issue warnings, or suspend accounts. We aim to review reports within 24 hours. Severe violations (e.g. CSAM, credible threats of violence) are actioned immediately and may be reported to law enforcement.
10. Provider Terms
These additional terms apply to service providers listed on the Platform.
- Providers are responsible for the accuracy, availability, and quality of their listings, including pricing, descriptions, photos, and availability calendars.
- Providers must hold all required licences, permits, and insurance to operate their services.
- ActivGate charges a commission on each completed booking as agreed in the Provider Agreement.
- Provider payouts are processed via CliQ, SARIE, SEPA, Wise, or Stripe ACH depending on the provider's location and banking details. Payout schedules are defined in the Provider Agreement.
- Providers must respond to refund requests within 48 hours. Failure to respond results in automatic approval of the refund.
- Repeated cancellations, consistently negative reviews, or violations of these Terms may result in listing suspension or removal.
11. Intellectual Property
All ActivGate branding, logos, software, design elements, and proprietary content are the intellectual property of ActivGate or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on ActivGate's intellectual property without our prior written consent. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of ActivGate's intellectual property to you.
12. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to it. Please review it carefully at activgate.com/privacy.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- ActivGate is not liable for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any service or listing provided by third-party providers.
- ActivGate is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.
- Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or related to your use of the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to ActivGate in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
14. Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to contact us first at info@activgate.com to resolve any dispute informally. Most concerns can be resolved quickly this way.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, you and ActivGate agree to attempt resolution through mediation before resorting to formal legal proceedings. These Terms are governed by applicable law and any unresolved disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the relevant jurisdiction.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you by email and/or by displaying a prominent notice on the Platform before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
