This page explains how advertising works on ActivGate, what data we use for ad targeting, and how you can control your ad experience.
Who Sees Ads?
Advertising is displayed to users on the Free tier and to users in the 7-day Globe Premium free trial period. Ads may appear in the reel feed, photo feed, and other content surfaces.
Subscribers to Globe Plus, Pro, or Elite enjoy a completely ad-free experience across the entire platform.
Our Privacy Commitment
ActivGate does not sell, share, or license your personal information to advertisers or data brokers. Ever.
- We do not build detailed personal profiles for ad targeting.
- We do not track your behaviour across third-party websites or apps for advertising purposes.
- We do not use sensitive personal data (health, religion, political views, etc.) for ad targeting.
- All ads are clearly labelled as sponsored content.
- We do not use audio or camera data for any advertising purpose.
How We Select Ads
Ad selection on ActivGate is based entirely on contextual and aggregated signals — never on behavioural tracking:

These signals are applied at the time of display and are not used to build persistent profiles.
Ad Standards
All ads displayed on ActivGate must:
- Be clearly labelled as 'Sponsored'
- Be relevant to travel, leisure, lifestyle, or related categories
- Not be misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent
- Not contain content that would violate our Community Guidelines
- Not target users based on protected characteristics (age, gender, race, religion, etc.)
You can report an ad you find inappropriate using the report function on the ad itself (tap ⋯ on any sponsored post). We review all ad reports within 24 hours.
How to Remove Ads
The only way to remove ads from ActivGate is to subscribe to a Globe Premium tier (Plus, Pro, or Elite). Premium subscribers enjoy an entirely ad-free experience. There is no partial opt-out for free-tier users, as advertising supports the free platform.
